Why an infertility coaching group for women only?

In a women-only coaching group, women who have been diagnosed with infertility can receive a level of support from each other and from the fertility nurse that is powerful, compelling and life-changing. In a women-only group, you can speak openly about your emotions, struggles, disappointments and successes with others who understand, empathize, know and care.

Much is expected of you along the infertility journey. Many treatments for infertility are performed on the female partner, even when the diagnosis is male factor infertility. There are countless visits with your physician, there is a great deal of work and home that is missed, there are many invasive procedures, and there is much physical and mental discomfort. Moreover, the medications that you take have a significant impact on your emotions and behavior.

Tension often runs high between you and your significant other. He doesn’t understand what you are going through and he doesn’t appear to be as invested in or committed to the process. How will you find the balance between your desire to have a baby and living life as you know it with your man?

How will you find the balance between doing everything in your power to achieve your dream of a family and living life as you know it with family, friends, and colleagues?

What you can expect in a fertility coaching group for women only.

This group provides an incredible opportunity to receive support – support in many different forms.

Emotional, physical and relational health.

You will receive coaching from the fertility nurse as to how to engage this journey in a healthy manner – how to achieve balance in your life.

It is true that you desire more than anything to have a baby. How do you balance this with everything else important in your life? There is a significant other that covets a healthy relationship with you. There is family and friends that desire your presence. There is still your professional life that needs attention, colleagues that wish for your time and unfinished business that relentlessly calls for you.

Yet, in all of this, there is a powerful tendency to completely immerse yourself in the pursuit of fertility to the point that all else suffers. The Fertility Nurse will coach on maintaining a healthy balance in your life – how to pursue with passion your dream of having a baby and continue to foster the other relationships in your life.

You may be experiencing many different emotions. You may be excited because you’re taking a new step. You may be experiencing a sense of loss because you were not able to get pregnant on your own. You may have much fear because of the many unknowns that lie ahead. You may be experiencing all of these emotions at once.

This is an emotionally charged time for you. The fertility nurse will help you cope with the emotions you are facing and the strain it may be putting on your relationships, particularly the relationship with your significant other.
