Infertility Coaching Groups: get tremendous infertility support at a great value.
What is an Infertility Coaching Group?
An Infertility Coaching Group is an ongoing relationship that you share with a fertility nurse and 9 other similarly-situated individuals or couples.
You'll meet together with your group on a regular basis, usually weekly or biweekly, via teleconference. Group teleconference calls are an hour or an hour and a half in length. Group calls are led by a fertility nurse.
Groups are formed around individuals and/or couples that share a similar experience. For example, there are groups for newly diagnosed infertility patients, patients undergoing ART procedures (IVF, ZIFT, FET), patients using donor eggs, and many others. There are also men-only and women-only groups.
The length of a coaching group differs for different types of groups. The length is typically 8 or 16 weeks.
What to expect in an infertility coaching group.
A coaching group will provide you an opportunity for objective feedback and support outside your day-to-day life. During group teleconference calls, you will have the opportunity to:
- Receive coaching while also benefiting from the experiences, wisdom, challenges and insights of other similarly-situated infertility patients.
- Form supportive relationships with others who experience the same struggles, face the same options and share the same possibilities.
- Discuss your experience and explore the impact it is having.
- Ask questions; get answers and perspective.
- Support others along their journey and discover a source of encouragement, energy and healing.
|
You will form relationships with others in the group. These relationships can be extended outside the structured teleconference call. In this way you can support, encourage and challenge each other between the times that the group meets with the fertility nurse.
In addition to group time, you are encouraged to share your struggles, questions and experiences with us through email. You can also request what you would like to discuss during the next scheduled group call. Communicating with us in this way will help us to better prepare and facilitate your group discussions.

- Become networked with fellow participants – people who completely understand what you are going through – who can offer you a quality of support like nobody else.
- Discover that you are not alone in facing the challenges that lie ahead.
- Experience a safe and rich learning environment where shared wisdom and experience will give you confidence and empower you to take control of your infertility treatments.
- Make rapid progress toward a more satisfying and rewarding experience.
- Discover that supporting others in meeting the challenges of their infertility invariably helps your own healing process.
- Find answers to your questions and direction for your journey ahead.
- Celebrate your progress and successes in a bigger way.
|
In a Coaching Group, you will receive empathy and compassion from your other group participants and from your fertility nurse. However, you will also be encouraged to take the steps that will lead you to a much more fulfilling life. These steps may include finding another physician, making a difficult request for help from a family member or friend, getting involved in something you have been holding back from doing, or more.

How does an Infertility Coaching Group work?
There are several Coaching Groups available. Each group has its own predefined schedule. A schedule defines how often the group meets, when the group meets, and how long each group meeting will be.
After you have selected a Coaching Group, you can make a request via our web site to join the group. If the group is not yet filled, you will receive an email invoice for the cost of the group. The invoice is paid online via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, eCheck, or a PayPal balance payment.
Group formation operates under a first-come-first-served basis. Thus, we encourage you to pay your invoice as soon as possible.
Once your invoice is paid, you will receive via email a conference call phone number and a pass code along with the full schedule of group calls and your fertility nurse email address. At the scheduled call times, simply dial the phone number and enter the pass code to join your Coaching Group.
You are encouraged, but not required, to share email contact information with other participants and to communicate with your group outside of the scheduled group calls.
You are also encouraged to correspond with your fertility nurse coach outside of scheduled group calls. This helps us to better prepare for and facilitate your group discussions.

What happens if I pay the invoice after the group is filled? Will I get a refund?
Because group formation operates under a first-come-first-served policy, there is the possibility that the group you select fills to capacity prior to receipt of payment. In this event, a full refund will be given.
You will also be placed on a waiting list for the next group. When the next group is formed and a schedule is set, you will be sent an invite to join the new group.
After you accept the invite, we will send to you an email invoice. Because there are often others on the waiting list, we encourage you to not delay.

Can an Infertility Coaching Group meeting schedule be changed?
No. Your group coach and all the other participants have joined the group and agreed to the schedule. This usually means that participants have rearranged their calendars to accommodate the schedule or selected the group because it works within their calendar. Introducing a change can be insensitive to the commitments and sacrifices that your fellow participants have made.
